I have spent decades working with people, animals, and the difficult realities that exist between right and wrong.
Along the way, I learned something important:Â What we do matters. How we treat others matters. And what we do when no one is watching matters most of all.
My books come from that belief. Some are rooted in faith. Some come from my years in law enforcement, journalism, animal advocacy, and rescue. Some examine the choices people make and the consequences that follow. And some ask questions about the heart and soul that are not always comfortable to answer. I don’t write simply to fill pages. I write because I believe words can make us stop, think, question ourselves, and perhaps see something we have overlooked.
Whether the subject is faith, animals, authority, responsibility, or the measure of a person’s character, there is a common message throughout my work: We are responsible for what we do with the life we have been given. I invite you to explore my books. Read them. Question them. Agree with them or disagree with them. But most importantly, let them make you think.
Because sometimes a book doesn’t change your life by giving you an answer. Sometimes it changes your life by making you ask the right question.

Author & Speaker
Dr. Mark McMorris Jr. is an author, speaker, former Deputy Sheriff, journalist, and animal advocate whose life and work have been shaped by faith, service, responsibility, and a deep concern for those who cannot speak for themselves.
After more than three decades of writing and public service, Mark continues to write about the questions that matter most—faith, conscience, authority, responsibility, compassion, and what it means to do what is right when doing nothing would be easier.
His books are not written simply to entertain. They are written to make us think, to challenge us, and sometimes to look honestly at ourselves. Whether writing about faith, the human soul, public responsibility, or the protection of animals, his message is consistent: what we do matters, and we are responsible for what we have been entrusted with.
Mark is also the host of Heart to Heart with Dr. Mark, where he speaks openly about real stories, real issues, and real conversations involving animals, people, communities, and personal responsibility.
He continues his work in animal advocacy and rescue, and remains committed to using his voice and his writing to encourage others to care, to speak up, and to make a difference.
His books are available through Amazon under Dr. Mark McMorris Jr.

The Voice of Conscience is a Christian inspirational book about the quiet inner voice that helps a person recognize right from wrong. In daily life, many people already know what is right, but they still struggle to act because fear, comfort, pride, or convenience gets in the way.
Dr. Mark McMorris Jr. explains how conscience speaks, why it becomes easier to ignore, and what happens when a person keeps walking away from what they know is right. Through Scripture-based reflections, simple real-life examples, and honest questions, this book helps readers think deeply about personal responsibility, spiritual growth, and moral choices.
My books were written over many years and from many different experiences, but they share something in common.
They are meant to make you think.
Some explore faith and the soul. Others examine responsibility, authority, conscience, and the way we treat those who depend upon us—including animals.
I don’t expect every book to speak to every reader. But I do believe there is value in asking difficult questions, examining our choices, and being willing to consider what we might otherwise overlook.
I invite you to explore the books, read about them, and decide for yourself which one speaks to you.
